Encompass Connector

Through an exclusive arrangement to integrate Encompass with Ellucian's Advance and Banner Advancement, the Connector for Encompass provides a comprehensive and efficient system for managing your constituent communication and affinity efforts. Up-to-date constituent biographical and Gift data is retrieved automatically through Web Services, allowing for a secure and reliable bi-directional exchange of information between your Encompass database and your offline database and eliminating the need for manual processing and custom development.

Advancement Connector FAQ

 Advancement Connector and Identity Check Point (ICP)

  Bio PULL

• Only syncs member records (records with a Constituent ID)
• Nonmember records (records without a Constituent ID) are not included in the sync

How do you pull profile updates that are tied to a nonmember record while using the scheduler (pull online updates since the last run)?

The following settings within Encompass are recommended:

Identity Checkpoint has now been enhanced to add a new setting to support the last_updated field to be set to the date the non-member record was merged into the member record. Request “Identity Check Point merge Date is set as Last Updated date” configuration within Encompass. Contact your Customer Success Manager or Customer Support to have this enabled.This allows you to pull all profile updates from Encompass after completing Identity Check Point Merge.

GIFT PULL

• Will pull transaction data tied to member records as well as nonmember records
• Transactions tied to nonmember records can be delayed by nonmember merge and Identity Check Point merge processes until reviewed:
  • Nonmember merge process – offline process that links nonmember record to another nonmember record. Admins have no access to manage/rush this process
  • Identity Check Point – member verifier pop up where resulting nonmember record is moved to Identity Check Point Grid – Merge Data Grid for Admin review and merge.
    • Real time merging for commerce based forms is available (Merge one by one)

How do you pull transaction data in real time without having to wait on member merge processes?

 "is_reviewed" override can be configured setup in Encompass to pull Reviewed and ALL: un-reviewed transactions from Encompass: Contact your Customer Success Manager or Customer Support to have it – Available Mid-January, 2016

-This will ensure that all transactions are available for Gift PULL in real time. This also allows transactions to be pulled based off date added/date of transaction.

                Note: Use this flag if you have a scheduler in place or a process that frequently pulls this data on a set schedule for batching
