General Fields

CEEB Lookup - College Allows users to look up their College CEEB code.                            
CEEB Lookup - High School Allows users to look up their High School CEEB code                            
CheckBox Allows users to select a True (checked) or False (unchecked) value.                            
CheckBox Series Allows users to select one or more True/False options.                            
Commerce Amount Field This is an open amount commerce field.                            
Commerce Item Field This is a combination item amount / price field.                            
Country Drop Down List Allows users to select a Country value from a pre-defined list that users cannot change. This is the required Country field that is for use with Address Validation.                            
DateBox A text box which is preformatted to accept only data in M/D/YYYY format.                            
DateTimeBox A text box set, one of which is formatted to accept M/D/YYYY dates and the other which is formatted to accept H:MM AM or H:MM PM.                            
DropDown List Allows users to select a value from a list you define.                            
Dual DropDown Lists Allows users to select a value from a list you define. The second list of options appears to refine the selection further when a value is selected. (This is a primary value with related sub-values displayed in a nested format.) You will specify the options and associated data values. Dual drop-down fields only exist in the community they are created in.  They do not flow down to sub-communities or have inheritance options.                            
Email Forwarding Address Email forwarding must be configured for your site by iModules. Contact your Acct. Mgr. for more information.                            
Email TextBox Preformatted to accept an email address (text in a name@domain.com style format).                            
Email TextBox Confirm Requires a user to repeat the information they entered into an email textbox and then checks that data against the original data to ensure both entries are identical. This ensures that suitable information is collected.                            
File Upload Allows a user to search his / her hard drive for a file and submit it to the server. The file size limit is 10 MB.                            
Hidden Value A value is automatically set upon a member completing a given step or form.                            
Label A static area to display text to the user.                            
ListBox An open box showing several items from which a user may select only one. You will specify the options and associated data values.

MultiSelect Box Allows users to select multiple values from a list you define. You must specify the Field Delimiter Character (such as a, or ;) that will divide the data options.                            
Password Box A text input box displays asterisks (*) in place of the actual characters a user types.                            
Radio Button Series Provides users with a list of items from which they can select only one. You will specify the options and associated data values.                            
Rich Text A text entry area allows the users limited data formatting (such as bolding or italicizing the text).                            
State Drop Down List Allows users to select a State value from a pre-defined list that users cannot change. This is the State field that is required for use with Address Validation.                            
Text Box Allows users to enter any combination of letters and numbers (99 character limit).                            
Text Box Confirm Requires users to repeat the information they entered and checks that data against the original data to ensure both entries are identical. This ensures that suitable information is collected.                            
Text Box Currency Decimal Requires users to enter a numerical, decimal amount.                            
Text Box Distinct This requires a value to be entered; other online community members have not used that.                            
TextArea A text entry box that can accommodate multiple lines of text. (Character limit is over 2 billion; however, the default character export will be limited to 1,000 characters.  NOTE:  Support can increase this to 4,000 if needed.)                            
TextArea Large A large text entry box that can accommodate longer entries. (Character limit is over 2 billion; however, the default character export is limited to 1,000 characters.  NOTE:  Support can increase this to 4,000 if needed.)                            
Time Zone DropDown A drop-down box lists time zones (Eastern, Central, Mountain, or Pacific Standard / Daylight Time).                            
TimeBox A preformatted text box to accept text in an H:MM AM or H:MM PM format.                            

Event Activity Fields - Only one instance of these fields can be associated with each Event or Activity

Commerce Item Field Adds an eCommerce-enabled data field for selling an item via the Event form.          
Promotion Codes Enter the Promo Code (limit of 10 characters), the discount amount (# of dollars off the total event purchase amount) and expiration date. Promo codes can be alpha-numeric, use special characters and are not case-sensitive. Events can have multiple promo codes.
Adds a text entry box to the event.		          
Guest Names Adds the Guest Names control for members to add their Guest Names for compiling Attendee Lists, and counting toward total registration counts and limits (if applicable).          
Attendee Opt Out Adds the Attendee List Opt Out option for members to select to not appear on the associated Attendee List.          

Campaign Fields

Business Rules

  • Only non-instance fields can have roles associated to them.
  • Only instance fields can be reusable.
  • Reusable instance fields can't drive registration.
