Customizing the Event Confirmation Page (Review Page)

The confirmation (Review) page will display the [Form No Blanks] token by default with the registration for the event and the donation collected (assuming the Donation Category is utilized) broken out on the same page.  A summary of the transactions will be at the top of the page followed by the details of the event information and then the details of the donation information.  This page allows admins to configure the information that is included on the confirmation page and to configure the order in which the information is displayed.

There are a variety of tokens that can be used. To see the tokens you can use to customize, review the Tokens for Confirmation Emails, Review/Finish Pages article.

The event admin will be able to utilize tokens to customize the ordering of the data or if they want to include verbiage between each section of data.  There is no validation in the system to ensure that tokens are included in the event confirmation emails.  It is up to the event admin to ensure that they include appropriate tokens to recap the event information.

Since two transactions will be processed, a verbiage item has been added to the confirmation and finish pages, below the transaction summary with the following information: The event purchases and direct donation portions of your total will be billed separately.

Customizing the Event Finish Page

The Finish Page will by default display the [Form No Blanks] token with the registration for the event and the donation amount broken out on the same page.  A summary of the transactions will be at the top of the page followed by the details of the event information and then the details of the donation information.  The details of the event information and the details of the donation information will appear on the finish page in the order they appear on the form.  This page will allow admins to configure what information is included on the finish page and to configure the order the information is displayed.

We have a business rule in place that if the first transaction (for the event) succeeds and the second transaction (for the donation) fails, the user would still be registered for the event.  In this scenario, the confirmation page would continue to show the event amount and the donation amount in the transaction summary and the detailed information for the event and the donation depending on the tokens used.

NOTE:  The failed donation transactions will show up in the Campaign form export when you select the option 'include incomplete e-commerce transactions', but will not show up in the Campaign reconciliation export.  The campaign failed transactions only show up if the event transaction is successful and the donation transaction fails.  If the event transaction is not successful, the donation transaction is never processed and would therefore never show up in the Campaign exports.

The changes would be seen on the finish page and the confirmation emails.  A new verbiage item will be added to the top of the finish page and to the top of the confirmation emails letting admins and members know that the donation transaction was not processed successfully.  The donation amount is also removed from the transaction summary and the donation detail is not displayed.
